Dear Coaches and Organizers:
The 2010 York County Special Olympics Spring Games will be held on May 6th, at Shapleigh Field in Kittery. Registration will begin at 8:30 and opening ceremonies will begin promptly at 9:15. For planning purposes, we expect that all events will be completed by 3PM. Thanks to the great generosity of the Knights of Columbus and York Hospital, there is again no cost for this event.
Registration forms are enclosed or online registration is available at http://yorkso.org . If registering by mail please make copies as necessary. Remember that all participants must have a current medical form on file with Special Olympics Maine and/or in your possession. Although we will not ask to see current medical forms, please have them
on file for all athletes participating in the games. If registering by mail forms should be mailed to Jamey Kinsey, 3 Thomas Drive, Berwick, Me 03901. Both online and mail registrations are due NO LATER THAN Apr 30th. If you can get them in sooner, it is a great help. Your registration packet will be available at the games. Please note that athletes can enter no more than three events, not including the relay. Please remember that Special Olympics encourages athletes to enter more challenging events, depending on their abilities.
Buses will not be allowed to park on site during the school day, but when you arrive, if your bus is staying, we will advise you where to park and provide transportation for your driver back to the field. Please be courteous to our hosts at Shapleigh Middle School and do not block parking lots or access routes with your vehicles.
Lunches will not be provided this year you should plan accordingly. We will have souvenirs available for sale as well. See you at the games!
